megancrewe: Canadian Writers Conference

The conference I'm probably going to (I'm making up my mind in the next couple of weeks) is CanWrite. The Friday is what interests me, but there is a bit of spec fic stuff on the Saturday, too.

Anyway, let me know if any of you decide to go!

for what it's worth
in "surprised by joy" (c.s. lewis) he mentions several times how his adolescent writings of myriad locations helped hime in writing furure works. this has made me think of "The Dark Tower" and, as he mentioned an infulence, J.R.R. Tolkiens's works. as i'm only minimally acquainted with both i wish you encouragement along those lines (as they're both tremendously fulfilling both symbologically and etioligically.)
for what it's worth "surprised by joy" spurred my favorite story to date...
